News - 2019

October 1 - November 30 | I’m thrilled to be artist-in-residence at Sculpture Space in New York.

July 19 - 21 | Cardinal will be showing some of my work-on-paper at Artscape Artist Books, Prints, Multiples & Editions Fair.

July 7 - 12 | Anna van Suchtelen and I will be team-teaching a course at Utrecht University this summer. It will culminate with a participatory artwork created in the Dutch countryside.

May 26 - June 2 | My work will be featured at the DuftBar exhibition, Solothurn, Switzerland. Claus Noppeney conceived of this exhibition as a way to stimulate public conversation about scent culture and literary culture. What better way to do it than to house it in the middle of a literature festival.

May 11 | Lecture “Creativity and Translation” at Clinical Science and Translational Institute, University of Miami.

April 7 - 13 | I’ll be lecturing and leading a participatory art workshop entitled When to throw a painting to a drowning man at Eureka Institute’s postdoc course in Siracusa, Italy.

March 9 | I’m happy to report the paper I co-authored with Kelly Brown, Gianfranco Grompone, and Anna van Suchtelen was accepted for publication in Frontiers in Psychology. The manuscript, “The value of creativity for enhancing translational ecologies, insights, and discoveries” can be read online now, and will be collected and published in a special translational medicine edition of Frontiers in Medicine later this year.

January 19 - February 9 | My watercolor series Anthems and Ballads is on exhibition in Baltimore at Cardinal.
